ABOUT THE AUTHOR
The Reverend Dr. Gloria Miller Perrin is a native of Washington, DC. She began her career at the Department of the Navy, and excelled to the management level as a Supervisory Contract Specialist. Dr. Miller Perrin graduated from Trinity College in Washington, DC with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Howard University in Washington, DC with a Master of Divinity Degree.
Reverend Dr. Miller Perrin was called and licensed to preach the Gospel at the Peoples Church in Washington, DC. She was ordained and served as Assistant Pastor at the Saint Paul Baptist Church in Capitol Heights, Maryland for thirteen years. Among her varying assignments, she was also responsible for the Women’s Ministry and the Rites of Passage Ministry for young girls. Reverend Dr. Miller Perrin served as the first Protestant Chaplain for Trinity College and provided consultant services for the Women’s Ministry at Bronx Christian Fellowship Church located in the Bronx, New York.
Reverend Dr. Miller Perrin is a distinguished preacher, teacher, and ecumenical retreat consultant, specializing in Social Justice and Women’s Issues. She is noted for political activity and her ability to develop partnerships between the church and community to understand the relationship of spiritual development and social concerns. Reverend Dr. Miller Perrin served as National Treasurer of the National Political Congress of Black Women for eight years and the Secretary of the Collective Banking Group Inc. of Prince George’s County Maryland for ten years.
Reverend Dr. Miller Perrin served for four years as the Chief of Staff/Senior Assistant to the Senior Minister at the historic Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC for four years. In that position she had management and supervisory authority over the administrative, programmatic, and organizational life of the church. She was charged to ensure that every aspect of the church life was managed and maintained at the highest level of professional excellence.
Reverend Dr. Miller Perrin is currently serving as an Associate Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, in Landover, Maryland, under the leadership of Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr. She received the Doctor of Ministry degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a Certified Life Coach and a member of Delta Sigma Theta.
